Stott Pilates Pilates On A Roll DVD

Great exercises, too slow a pace.
I have been doing all types of pilates for years, inc. Windsor and Rael, and wanted to try Stott. Many of the exercises are challenging, but the pace is slower than I would like. Moreover, much time is wasted when the 2 instructors keep switching between playing "instructor" or "student" AND especially when continually getting on and off the roller. It would make much more sense to perform all exercises that will be done in a given postion, i.e. lying on the roller, then moving on to the next position, i.e. all exercises done sitting up. The first 10 minutes are essentially a waste after your first session using the video. However, I gave the video 4 stars because the instruction is superb and 3/4 of the exercises were challenging. (I say this as an avid exerciser of many years). Many viewers may find the instructors a little too quiet and the music a little too sleepy.

Pilates on a Roll
Good video length (approx 40 min) for Pilates workout. Instruction is excellent and steady. Video recommended for someone with intermediate level strength and balance for Pilates (I have done mat classes for a little over 2 years). Video presentation is calm (I generally prefer a more upbeat personality) but with very good instruction/information.

Too much talk, too little action
Plus, this is one of THOSE DVDs that has a legal disclaimer you must check each and every time used. Slows things down. Boring. Unfortunately so slow, I bought and got rid of. The roller is a great addition, I use it daily. Pilates great, this DVD not so much.
