A great intro to Tai Chi
No matter how good the instruction, learning a martial art from a DVD is not easy. The producers of this program clearly recognize this and it is tailored mostly for people interested in tai chi, either as novices or beginner/intermediates who wish to progress their understanding of the art. Dr. Jian is a tremendous instructor, but once again, to get the most out of the program the viewer will want to use it in combination with actual, real-life tai chi practice. Recommended.
Also worth looking at, the companion program "Qi Gong," also featuring Dr. Jian: Qi Gong: Discover the Ancient Art

So far this is a great workout. I am in the process of learning more about Tai Chi. The reviews were very informative, as a beginner I feel this DVD has very good demo's and teaching is repeated to aid in understanding the moves. The teaching is also very clear and precise. I highly recommend this DVD to all who have an interest in Tai Chi.
DVD unviewable
There is purple and green discoloration on the top half of the video, and lots of pixelation along the bottom of the screen as well. In addition, the audio was very choppy. I know it's not my DVD player since I tested other movies in it, and I'm very disappointed that I won't be able to use this DVD because of its defects.
